A lot of us seem to be feeling a bit unmotivated and over it all. It may be because you have pandemic/ Covid fatigue, you could be in a state of languishing or you may be suffering the effects of long covid. Whatever the reason, I can see it and feel it in the people around me.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue when I was 13, I know how much living with constant exhaustion messes with your mind, and how it is an internal battle to accept that there are limitations to what your energy levels allow you to achieve. I know how brain fog creates anxiety going into social situations where you lose words, huge chunks of stories disappear because of the issues with your memory, and you feel like you are standing there, your mouth and mind completely disconnected, looking like a deer in headlights. Even the annoying things like regulation issues with your nervous system causing your body to run hot or cold (sorry for all the times, I have either cooked or froze you in a class because my body temp was out!). So I have a long, personal journey with a lot of the symptoms of long covid. This has been the motivation behind this series of meditations and journaling work.
This ‘Pick Me Up’ program is based on years of personal growth and experiments with what has most helped me accept the my limitations.
They are largely based on self acceptance and kindness, doing things that restore and make you feel better, so regardless of the reason you are feeling fatigue around Covid - you have nothing to lose by committing to this five week program.
