Audio Meditations

I have recorded that script for the Wellness Hub, as I enjoyed it so much.
Our throat chakra gives us the ability to speak openly and honestly, to communicate effectively (both listening and speaking). If we have emotions trapped we at times feel them as a lump in the throat.

The Art of Letting Go (Guided Meditation)
Find a comfortable position to listen to this meditation. It takes you first on a guided visualization of one of my favourite places on Stewart Island, before you are lead to work with the subconscious mind and letting go of things that no longer serve you.
3 Part Breathing
This 5 minute pranayama exercise is a popular way to calm your mind and ground your energy. This makes it a great exercise to start your day, to calm down if you are feeling a bit stressed or overwhelmed. It is commonly used to get your into the mood to begin a yoga practice or to start a longer meditation.
Body Relaxation
This 10 minute body relaxation mediation, is a quick and simple method of mindful meditation that allows for single focus of the mind, by taking your awareness throughout your physical body.
So Hum Healing Meditation
‘So Hum’ is a contemplation mantra meditation, which means ‘I am that’. In this version of this popular meditation, we focus on the pauses in between the breath, allowing this space and pause to reflect the quality of the body and mind and offer healing.
The 61 Point relaxation meditation is traditionally used during Yoga Nidra, and is used to train and create an alert mind - but I have never been one to follow tradition perfectly!
I use this meditation as a great tool to help with sleep. Once you have learnt the sequence you can easy run through the parts of the body you are feeling into when you wake up in the middle of the night.

MEDITATION + JOURNALING
In what has been an extremely challenging year for most of us, I think we should take the time to acknowledge some of the hard parts. Hold our attention on some of the good bits, and get ready for a New Year.

Yoga Nidra is a meditation where you are guided through 5 layers of self. We work on relaxing the physical body, mental body, emotional body, intelligent body and find ourselves at the bliss body, in a completely relaxed state. It is these pure meditation states that we can feel and connect to that spark within, that thing that makes us us. A feeling that can only be described as finding your way home.

Zazen meditation is a Buddhist mediation technique where you come into a seated meditation posture and train the mind to focus on the breath.
During this meditation, I begin by giving you an overview of the practice, your posture, focus, mudra, give you meditation instructions from the Zen Mountain Monstery, before leaving you to practice the technique for 5 minutes.
